Baby Footprints In Birth Announcements And Cards

You can certainly buy sweet birth announcements ready-made with “generic” baby footprints on them, but you can also opt to make your own featuring your baby’s unique prints. A cute verse to add is: “Our home has just been enlarged by 2 feet.”

One of my favorite techniques is to scan a baby footprint and then print it on vellum. This way, you can lay it over your text without completely obscuring baby’s birth stats. Experiment with different techniques; you’ll know what you like when you see it.
When Baby gets older, don’t forget his or her little hands when it comes to card-making. What grandparent wouldn’t love to receive a card emblazoned with a grandchild’s handprints? And older children love making thumbprint and fingerprint designs and animals in the style of Ed Emberley.
